By booking Great Glen Sauna you are agreeing to the following terms & conditions:
- Using the sauna & surrounding site is done at your own risk. If you have any doubt regarding sauna use (eg. pregnancy, underlying health problems, medical conditions, using prescription drugs) please contact your medical practitioner/GP for advice before making a booking.
- You must not use the sauna if you: a) suffer from high or low blood pressure or any heart or circulatory disorder or suffer from epilepsy or diabetes; b) are pregnant; or c) are prone to dizziness or fainting.
- The sauna is wood-fired and is extremely hot. Do not touch any part of the stove, stove door, flue chimney, sauna rocks, or surrounding fire guards.
- When pouring water on the rocks, only do so as directed by your host. Start from the point furthest away from you to prevent scalding.
- Alcohol, smoking and drugs are strictly prohibited.
- Nudity is not permitted, although we have a ‘top-optional’ policy.
- Use of any body of water for cold plunges is at your own risk. This includes, but is not limited to; lochs, rivers, cold plunge baths, showers, the sea.
- Great Glen Sauna is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property.
- Children under 16 yrs are not permitted at social sessions.
- Under 16s are permitted to attend family and private sessions, provided a parent/family member/guardian (over 21yrs) is present and takes full responsibility of the child at ALL TIMES during the session. (A ratio of no less than 1 adult to 2 children is required). The designated adult is required to purchase their own ticket for the same session as the child and consent to the waiver below*
- No under 16s are allowed in cold plunge/baths/showers.
- Under 7s are NOT permitted to use the sauna.
- Any hanging jewellery should be removed before entering the sauna to prevent burning.
- Do not use a sauna if you have recently had a tattoo or have any open wounds.
- If you are making a booking on behalf of a group or others, it is your responsibility to make sure all users are aware of the terms and conditions and to practise safe sauna use, as well as making others aware of what to bring and expect.
- We reserve the right to refuse admission for any reason that may be deemed a health and safety risk. Refunds will not be offered to anyone refused admission.
- Exposure to hot & cold temperatures, hot equipment and slippery surfaces is done at your own risk.
- Sauna etiquette is to be adhered to at all times.
*I ……… (full name of adult) are the parent/guardian/adult family member (indicate which) of …………..(minors full name) and sign to accept that I take full responsibility for the above named minor during the sauna hire use and will be present at all times.
Sauna Etiquette:
– Enter and exit the sauna with care.
– Remove footwear and wash feet & body before entering.
– Sit on a clean towel at all times within the sauna.
– Keep access points clear to allow quick exit.
– Only use the provided water and scents on the sauna stones and as directed by your host.
– Only swimwear may be worn in the sauna. Nudity is not permitted although we have a ‘top-optional’ policy.
– It is not acceptable to make other sauna users uncomfortable. Be kind & considerate.
– Do not touch any parts of the stove, flue or surround.
– Please remove all hanging jewellery before entering the sauna. No makeup or skincare products please.
– No Alcohol, smoking or drugs permitted.
– Rinse before using any cold plunge baths, if provided.
